Jorn van Hoorn: Celebrating Life and Success through Pop Art Sculptures

Celebrate life with the sculptures of Jorn van Hoorn.
As the roaring twenties arrive, there’s no better way to celebrate life and success than with the hand-polished bronze sculptures of Jorn van Hoorn. One of his most striking pieces, Mr. Money Popper, is a full bronze sculpture depicting a figure sabering an expensive bottle of champagne, serving as a metaphor for the celebration of success and the good life.
Born in 1982 and starting his artistic journey in 1999, Jorn van Hoorn quickly evolved from a graduate art student at Sint Lucas into a Pop Art sculptor. His work is now featured in galleries and exhibitions all over the world, and can be found in the homes of celebrities and collectors alike. With a focus on materials that fit the speed and style of his thinking and working, Jorn creates sculptures that are both beautiful and evocative, often exploring themes of love, beauty and the fleeting nature of existence.
At the young age of 19, Van Hoorn had his first solo exhibition at Galerie Kuijpers. He quickly followed this with numerous other exhibitions both domestically and internationally, including a museum exhibit at the Van Der Togt Museum in Amstelveen in 2012. In 2018, he won a Street Art Award in the most inventive category, and also collaborated with the son of Pablo Escobar to create a unique art coin.
Jorn’s work can be found in galleries across the globe, including Carlton Fine Arts in New York, Smart Gallery in Switzerland, Sconci Gallery in Dubai, Galerie 28 in Reims, Gefen Gallery in San Francisco, CNS Gallery in Amsterdam, Gallery Red in Mallorca, and Gallery Pink in Paris. He has also been featured in various television shows, newspapers and magazines, and has garnered a number of notable collectors such as influencer Nikkie Tutorials and Moto GP 1 World champion Fabio Quartararo.
Looking to the future, Jorn is currently working on large bronze sculptures for a solo exhibition in Dubai in 2023. For those interested in learning more about his work, they can check out his website at www.jornvanhoorn.com or follow him on social media at @jornvanhoorn.
