The skinny: “Magic” Mike Lane (Tatum) goes from Florida bartending gigs – he’s broke after a bad business deal – to the London theater scene when a wealthy socialite (Hayek) recruits him to hit the stage again. The assignment: to choreograph an empowering show and get a bunch of new dancers into performance shape.

The skinny: Shrinking heroes Scott Lang (Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Lilly) and their loved ones are transported to the Quantum Realm, a trippy subatomic world where Hope’s mom (Michelle Pfeiffer) was stuck for 30 years. They run into strange creatures, new characters and the arrival of the new big bad Kang the Conquerer (Majors.

The skinny: Goodbye Woodsboro, hello New York City! The Big Apple murder rate is bound to go up when the four young survivors (including Ortega and Barrera) from Ghostface’s last murderfest head to the big city to start a fresh chapter of their lives. Unfortunately, death follows suit when that infamous masked killer pops up again.

The skinny: On the run from international assassins and with a price on his head, legendary hitman John Wick (Reeves) figures out a way to defeat the High Table and regain his freedom. However, that plan involves seeking out criminal power players around the world and avoiding betrayal from old friends in the action thriller.

The skinny: After putting a spark back in their marriage in the original 2019 mystery comedy, Nick (Sandler) and Audrey (Aniston) return as full-time private eyes trying to get their detective agency running. So when they need it least, the pair is wrapped up in international intrigue after their pal, the Maharaja, is kidnapped at his own wedding.

The skinny: Based on the hit video game, the animated adventure comedy centers on plumber Mario (Pratt) and his brother Luigi (Charlie Day) winding up in a fantasy landscape, seeking to save Princess Peach (Taylor-Joy), facing the fearsome foe Bowser (Black) and meeting colorful characters such as Donkey Kong (Seth Rogen).

The skinny: The conclusion of Gunn’s cosmic trilogy finds Star-Lord (Pratt) reeling after the loss of his love Gamora (Zoe Saldaña). The sudden appearance of her younger self (see: “Avengers: Endgame”) factors into a new adventure where the band of lovable misfits again have to protect the universe and also one of their own.
